OUR STORY

We started Litmus Risk because risk was invisible.

When protection gaps go unseen, financial plans fail. Litmus Risk was built to change that.

WHERE IT STARTED

A real-world problem that wasn’t supposed to exist.

During catastrophic wildfires, properties were destroyed and families discovered too late that their coverage did not match reality. What looked like a solid financial plan on paper broke apart under real-world conditions.

In one case, a client lost multiple properties and had to liquidate millions from an investment portfolio to recover—undoing years of planning.

One overlooked protection gap erased a lifetime of planning.

That moment made something clear: the system was not broken in one place—it was missing entirely.

THE INSIGHT THAT BUILT LITMUS RISK

You cannot manage
what you cannot see.

Financial planning has evolved. Investment platforms are sophisticated, data is accessible, and portfolios are carefully managed.

But risk—across homes, vehicles, valuables, and liability—remains fragmented, unclear, and largely unmanaged.

This is not an insurance problem.
It is a visibility problem.

WHY LITMUS RISK EXISTS

To make risk visible, measurable, and manageable.

To connect assets, liabilities, and protection into one clear picture.

To help people understand what they own, how it is protected, and what needs to change.

Not more insurance. Better understanding.

CLEAR ROLES ACROSS THE ECOSYSTEM

One technology platform.
Distinct professional relationships.

Litmus Risk powers the advisory firm's P&C Desk with an institutional platform and insurance and claims experts. The advisory firm keeps its client relationship; the advisor directs whether the Desk prepares behind the scenes, joins a meeting, or meets the client, while Litmus manages the advisor-facing workflow.

Litmus licensed professionals provide policy and claims support within their authority. Litmus licensed insurance professionals review information, explain coverage, identify potential gaps, and provide guidance. Litmus claims coaches are licensed adjusters who help clients prepare and organize after a loss. When a client wants to shop, replace, or place coverage, the client may keep an incumbent broker or authorize an introduction to a participating brokerage firm, which provides quotes, places and binds coverage, and services the policy.

The client decides whether to proceed and may keep an incumbent broker. The Desk remains available across placement paths and leads with high-net-worth personal risk; commercial needs are a secondary path. The institutional software subscription is not offered to consumers as a standalone product.
