WHY JOIN

Spend less time reconstructing the client—and more time solving the risk.

Traditional referrals can begin with a name and little else. Broker Access is designed to create a more informed handoff, while keeping the client in control and the brokerage firm responsible for the coverage transaction and policy service it accepts.

01NEW POTENTIAL RELATIONSHIPS

Meet potential clients with a demonstrated need.

Meet client-authorized opportunities originating through participating financial advisory firms and the Litmus P&C Insurance Desk.

02A PREPARED STARTING POINT

Start with the context already collected.

Begin with relevant client-authorized household, asset, policy, exposure, and review information already organized in Litmus.

03BETTER COVERAGE ALIGNMENT

Compare around the same protection picture.

Review current protection and possible alternatives around the same client context, priorities, and identified questions.

FROM ADVISOR NEED TO LICENSED EXECUTION

A deliberate introduction—not an open lead marketplace.

Every opportunity follows a controlled path designed around fit, authorization, professional responsibility, and client choice.

  1. 01IDENTIFY

A real need comes into view.

The advisor and Desk identify a client need that may require licensed brokerage review or replacement coverage.

  2. 02MATCH

    The right capabilities are considered.

Litmus considers jurisdiction, risk profile, specialty, carrier access, capacity, and service fit across participating firms.

  3. 03AUTHORIZE

    The client approves the path.

The client chooses whether to proceed and expressly authorizes the brokerage introduction and applicable information sharing.

  4. 04EXECUTE

The broker performs the insurance work.

The selected brokerage firm reviews the authorized information and owns the quoting, placement, binding, and policy service it accepts. Litmus remains responsible for the policy and claims support its licensed professionals provide.

A NETWORK BUILT ON FIT

What Litmus looks for in participating firms.

Participation is selective. Litmus considers whether a brokerage firm can responsibly serve the kinds of clients and risks it agrees to review.

01

LICENSING

Appropriate producer licensing and authority in every jurisdiction served.

02

MARKET ACCESS

Carrier relationships and capacity suited to the risks the firm agrees to consider.

03

EXPERTISE

Demonstrated personal, commercial, specialty, or multi-state capabilities.

04

SERVICE

Responsive communication, transparent ownership, and reliable follow-through.

05

SECURITY

Information-handling practices appropriate for client-authorized insurance data.

06

ALIGNMENT

Respect for the advisory relationship, client choice, and clearly defined professional roles.

PARTICIPATION IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF BUSINESSNetwork participation does not guarantee introductions, quote volume, coverage, pricing, or placement. Opportunities depend on client demand, jurisdiction, licensing, carrier access, underwriting appetite, capacity, and the facts of the risk. Clients choose whether to proceed.
CLIENT-AUTHORIZED BY DESIGNInformation is shared only for the approved review.
CLEAR PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITYLitmus remains responsible for the policy and claims support its licensed professionals provide; participating firms remain responsible for quoting, placement, binding, and policy service.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

How the network is designed to work.

These answers explain the operating model without promising volume, exclusivity, pricing, or placement.

01What kinds of opportunities may be introduced?+

Opportunities may involve high-value personal risk, commercial or specialty needs, multi-state households, or another situation requiring licensed brokerage review. Each opportunity depends on the client’s needs and the participating firm’s capabilities.

02How does Litmus consider a match?+

Litmus considers jurisdiction, licensing, risk profile, specialty, carrier access, service capacity, and fit with the client and advisory relationship. Participation does not guarantee an introduction.

03What information is shared?+

Only information relevant to the approved review is shared, and only after the client authorizes the introduction and applicable information sharing. The exact package depends on the request and may include organized household, asset, policy, exposure, and review context.

04Who owns the insurance relationship?+

Each organization remains responsible for the services it provides. Litmus remains responsible for the policy and claims support its licensed professionals provide. A brokerage firm accepting an engagement is responsible for its quoting, placement, binding, and policy service. The client remains free to proceed, decline, or retain an incumbent broker.

05What are the participation terms?+

Participation terms, territories, service expectations, and any applicable commercial arrangements are reviewed directly with each brokerage firm and documented before participation begins. Submitting this form does not create a participation agreement or guarantee opportunities.
